The purpose of Agrigas is to develop an enzyme assisted AD process to enhance the solids destruction and improve biogas (CH4 – methane) production from AD of various agri-food waste streams to enhance methane from renewable biogas sources that can be used for heat, high efficiency CHP and/or transport fuel by improving the productivity of the AD process (target 50% enhancement of biogas production by improving feedstock flexibility & thruput, reduced residence time, reduced plant size all leading to reduced cost of biogas production).
